Photoshoot questions & Answers

When should I book?

For the best results in dog photography, it’s a good idea to book your session as early as possible, especially if you’re hoping to capture a specific milestone, like a puppy’s early months or a special event. I recommend getting in touch at least a few weeks in advance to discuss your dog’s temperament and any key shots you’re after. Once we’ve agreed on a provisional date, you can secure your booking by paying the initial invoice. If you need to reschedule due to any changes, don’t worry, I offer flexible scheduling options. After the date is confirmed, simply settle the second invoice and look forward to a relaxed, enjoyable session where we’ll capture your dog’s unique personality and charm

What if I'm not feeling well or strong enough?

Your health and well-being come first, so if you’re not feeling well or strong enough on the day of your dog’s photography session, don’t worry! Just let me know as soon as possible, and we can easily reschedule to a day when you’re feeling better. I offer flexible booking options to accommodate any changes, so there’s no need to stress. The session should be a fun, relaxed experience for both you and your dog, and I’m happy to work around what’s best for you.

Who should I bring?

For your dog photography session, it’s ideal to bring those that your dog is comfortable with, especially if they can help keep your dog calm and engaged. This could be family members, a partner, or a friend who your dog knows well. Having an extra pair of hands can be helpful for positioning your dog or grabbing their attention with treats and toys. However, if it’s just you or your family and your dog, that’s perfectly fine too! I’ll guide you through the session to make sure we capture beautiful moments together.

What if my toddler acts up on the day?

It’s completely normal for toddlers to have off days, so don’t worry if they act up during the session! I’m experienced in working with young children and pets, and we can take breaks as needed to keep things relaxed and fun. I’ll work around your toddler’s mood and capture moments when they’re calm or engaged. Feel free to bring along their favourite toys or snacks to help keep them entertained. The session is meant to be stress-free, and I’ll ensure we get lovely shots, even if we need a little extra patience.

What should I bring?

For your dog photography session, it’s a good idea to bring along a few essentials to help keep your dog comfortable and engaged. Bring their favourite treats, toys, and perhaps a blanket or bed if it helps them settle. If your dog wears a collar or harness, make sure it’s something you’re happy to have in the photos, or bring a backup that suits the style you’re after. If your dog is energetic, a lead might also be helpful for keeping them focused. Feel free to bring anything else that showcases your dog’s personality or helps them feel at ease.

How do we book?

To secure your session slot, I’ll send a 50% invoice for the bronze package in the realm of dog photography. This is vital due to the fast pace of bookings. Once you finalise the session date, a second invoice will be issued, requiring payment before the session’s commencement. This single payment comprehensively covers the entire Bronze package. Upgrading is an option, sans additional charges. The viewing of your image slideshow and selection transpires 1 or 2 weeks post-session*. Choose 5 images or opt for more by upgrading. Our gallery viewing encompasses not only image choices but also showcases wall art, frames, and other selections. All payments, including upgrades and products, occur through card transactions at this meeting.
