Stop letting amateur photographers hold your newborn

Why those precious first weeks deserve gentle, expert hands

Oh, those first few weeks. They pass by in a blur of sleepy cuddles, milk feeds, and absolute wonder.

You are likely exhausted, running on empty, and utterly, deeply in love with that tiny new person. It is a time of exquisite fragility, where your baby changes almost by the hour.

It is so tempting to just find anyone with a nice camera to capture those fleeting moments before they slip away. But when it comes to your brand new baby, a nice camera is simply not enough.

The hidden art of newborn posing

A professional camera does not make someone a newborn photographer.

Posing a baby is a delicate art that requires hours of specialist training, infinite patience, and a deep understanding of infant anatomy. I have spent years learning how to support those tiny airways and delicate joints.

In my cozy Greenwich studio, I focus on natural, timeless poses that respect your baby’s natural physiology. You do not need to worry about buying outfits or packing heavy bags either.

I provide a beautiful, curated wardrobe of soft, organic wraps and neutral blankets. My goal is to make this experience as stress-free as possible for your tired hands.

Safety & Comfort

Your baby’s safety is my absolute, non-negotiable priority.

  • Never trust a photographer who forces a baby into a pose.
  • Many complex poses are actually composite images, meaning they are two photos merged together in editing while a hand supports the baby at all times.
  • I am fully trained in safe baby handling, ensuring your little one is never at risk of slipping or restricted breathing.

If your baby cries, we stop. We pause for a feed, a cuddle, or a nappy change.

I run the session entirely at your baby’s pace, which means you can sit back with a warm cup of tea and actually relax.

A Note for New Mums

I know you might feel self-conscious right now, and the thought of being in front of a camera might feel a little daunting.

Please, do not wait until you feel “ready” or have lost the baby weight to get in the frame. Your baby will not look at these photos years from now and judge your tired eyes or your soft postpartum belly.

They will only see the warmth in your eyes and the infinite love in the way you held them.

Let me take care of the safety, the light, and the angles. You just focus on breathing in that sweet newborn scent.
