Embracing the beautiful, sleepy haze
You are sitting on the sofa, holding your brand-new baby, and the world outside our little corner of South East London seems to have completely paused. You are utterly exhausted, a little overwhelmed, and so deeply in love it hurts.
Those tiny eyelashes, the sweet milky yawns, and those impossibly small toes are changing every single day. I know how much you want to bottle this feeling up before it slips away.
But in the rush to capture these fleeting moments, there is one critical mistake that so many well-meaning parents make.
The trap of the “perfect” outfit and props
The biggest mistake I see sweet, tired parents make is trying to coordinate too much for their session. You do not need to buy a dozen outfits or spend your midnight feeding sessions searching for props online.
Those stiff, scratchy outfits often irritate newborn skin and make your little one fussy. Plus, they hide the natural, beautiful details of your baby’s tiny body.
In my cozy studio near Greenwich, I keep things beautifully simple. I provide a gorgeous, curated wardrobe of organic wraps, soft knits, and delicate neutral blankets.
We want the focus to be entirely on your baby, not the clothes.
Here is how we keep your session stress-free:
- We use soft, neutral tones that complement your baby’s natural skin.
- I handle all the styling, so you do not have to pack a heavy suitcase.
- We focus on the simple, timeless details that you will want to remember forever.
Safety & Comfort (Critical Section)
Your baby’s safety is my absolute top priority. I have undergone extensive, specialist training in newborn safety and physiology.
I will never force a baby into an unnatural pose. If your little one is unsettled, we stop for a feed, a cuddle, or a nappy change.
We work entirely at your baby’s pace. I use safe, gentle techniques and clever composite imaging, meaning my hands – or yours – are always just inches away to keep your baby secure.
A Note for Mums
I know you might be feeling self-conscious or tired. Please hear me: You do not need to wait until you lose the baby weight to be in these photographs.
Your child will not look back at these portraits and notice your tired eyes. They will only see the fierce, tender love in the way you cradled them close.
Let me take care of you, so you can just focus on falling in love with your baby all over again.
