You are surviving on broken sleep, smelling that sweet newborn skin, and watching your tiny baby change before your very eyes.
It is so tempting to just search for the cheapest photographer online to quickly capture these days before they slip away.
But when it comes to your precious new baby, cheaper is rarely safer.
What you are actually paying for
I know how the expenses of a new baby add up, from the pram to the endless boxes of nappies.
But a professional newborn photographer is so much more than someone with a nice camera.
When you book a session with me here in Greenwich, you are paying for years of training, specialized equipment, and a completely stress-free experience.
You don’t need to worry about buying outfits or props that you will never use again.
I provide everything, from the softest organic blankets to beautiful, neutral baby wraps, so you can just turn up and breathe.
Safety & Comfort
This is the most important part of my job, and it is where cheap photography can become truly dangerous.
Newborns cannot support their own heads, they cannot regulate their own body temperature, and their little joints are incredibly delicate.
Many of those sleepy, upright poses you see online are actually composite images – meaning they are two photos merged together in Photoshop while a hand supports the baby at all times.
An untrained photographer may try to force a baby into these positions without knowing how to do so safely.
I am fully trained in newborn safety, and I will never, ever put your baby in an unsafe position or prop.
If your baby is unsettled or crying, we stop, we cuddle, and we feed.
You can sit back on my comfortable sofa, sip a hot cup of tea, and let me handle everything.
A Note for Tired Mums and Dads
I see you, and I know you are exhausted.
Please don’t worry about the dark circles under your eyes, or feel like you need to lose the baby weight before you get in front of the camera.
Your baby will never look back at these photos and wish you looked different.
They will only see the sheer, overwhelming love in your eyes.
Whether we are shooting in my cozy studio or walking through the beautiful, quiet spots of Blackheath, my goal is to make you feel safe, beautiful, and completely cared for.
